What causes whitening and peeling on fiberglass water slide？

Many operators report that after a few years of use, the slide surfaces exhibit whitening, chalking, and fading. The primary causes are:

1.    Use of standard (non-weather-resistant) gel coat, leading to aging from prolonged UV exposure;

2.    Poor resin quality with weak hydrolysis resistance;

3.    Insufficient gel coat thickness or excessive sanding.

Prevention measures: Specify weather-resistant isophthalic gel coat standards during procurement; perform regular cleaning and avoid using highly corrosive chemicals directly on the slide surface. If the equipment has already aged, our factory offers on-site refurbishment and repair services.
