Pre-Opening Equipment Self-Inspection Checklist for Water Parks

I. Water Slides (Fiberglass Slides)

1.    Slides are free of cracks, dents, or delamination; inner surfaces are smooth and burr-free; joints and seams are flush.

2.    Flanges and bolts are securely fastened with no looseness or cracking; edge guards are intact.

3.    All protective materials used during transport and hoisting have been removed.

4.    Lubrication and water supply systems discharge water normally; flow rates meet standards.

5.    Platforms, handrails, and guardrails are secure; anti-slip mats are in good condition; entry/exit warning signs are fully in place.

6.    Landing pool water depth meets standards; the pool is free of debris.

II. Wave-Making Equipment

1.    Wave-making unit, valves, and piping show no leaks; oil levels are normal.

2.    Control cabinets and electrical wiring are in good condition; grounding is reliable.

3.    Wave-making modes test normally; emergency stop function is effective.

4.    Wave pool guardrails and warning signs are complete.

III. Lazy River / Drift River

1.    Water pumps and propulsion equipment operate without abnormal noise or leaks.

2.    River channel is free of sharp protrusions; grate covers are secure and undamaged.

3.    Return water inlet protective grates are intact; no looseness or missing parts.

4.    Water level control functions normally; warning signs are in place.

IV. Water Treatment System

1.    Circulation pumps and filtration equipment operate normally; pressure is within the required range.

2.    Dosing system is in good condition with sufficient chemicals; water quality test results are compliant.

3.    Pipeline valves show no leaks or drips; disinfection equipment operates normally.

4.    Pool floor and walls are clean and free of debris.

V. Electrical and Safety Systems

1.    Grounding and earth-leakage protection for all equipment are effective.

2.    Emergency stop buttons are in good condition; linkage tests are successful.

3.    Cable waterproofing is intact; electrical equipment in wet areas meets waterproofing standards.

4.    Lighting and public address systems are fully functional.

VI. Auxiliary Safety Facilities

1.    Lifebuoys, rescue poles, and lifeguard stands are fully equipped.

2. Signage indicating water depth, usage guidelines, and prohibitions is complete and clearly visible.

3.    Safety netting and guardrails are free of damage, and spacing meets compliance standards.

4.    Emergency access routes are unobstructed.

VII. Trial Operation

1.    Conduct trial runs of all equipment—both unloaded and with water—to check for abnormal noise, leakage, or unusual vibration.

2.    Ensure personnel are at their assigned posts and familiar with emergency response plans.
